2012 - New Goals

Last year my goal was to stay healthy. I finally have the IBS under control thanks to Miralax and Align. My weight is stable. After losing 40+ lbs 3 years ago, I've always worried about putting it back on. Christmas 2010 I gained about 10 lbs back and it freaked me out. This year I vowed it wouldn't happen and I'm proud to say it didn't. I looked at past workouts and Christmas 2010 I quit lifting weights and just ran. This year I mixed it up. I worked out 247 days. I'm cutting back this year. I'm sticking to 4 days a week. 3 days of weight lifting with some high intensity running and 1 day with a good long run. I feel great.

This year I'd like to set some fun goals.
  • Yeast: it scares the bejeepers out of me, this year I want to conquer that fear and make homemade bread
  • Nikon: I want to know every button on my new camera and take great photos
  • Bible study: I've had the Max Lucado bible study book for 2 years now and I'm ashamed to say I haven't even opened it
  • PSE actions: Already started working on this, I think this will be easy and fun
  • Art Journal: Create a semi-daily art journal keeping track of life's little moments
  • Start a blog (done!)

PeakFit - Core Dynamics

I just started PeakFit this week. I didn't have high hopes. I just finished Supreme90 and I loved it. I didn't figure I'd get lucky twice in a row. PeakFit kicked my butt and I consider myself to be in pretty decent shape.

Monday: Pure Strength 1 - 363cals, 45min
Wednesday: Cardio Strength 1 - 598cals, 52min (prayed for death through the entire thing)
Friday: Core Dynamics - 89cals, 21min AND Pure Strength 1 - 410cals, 46min

Normally I run for an hour on Saturday morning but since we are skiing this week, I don't want to be too sore. I woke up this morning and my abs and legs are really sore. Anyways. I am impressed with this workout so far. I have no intention of doing any of the cardio, I prefer to run but I will do the 6 weeks of strength training.
